There are a LOT of inspection companies out here and I've experienced a nice amount of them. But Chicago Building Inspections is top tier. The knowledge and expertise of Bill was amazing. And we were blessed with a heavy rain for that day. Bill pointed out some major problems and I am exceptionally grateful for that. Also, he recommended the sewer inspection and when I tell you I have not regretted my decision of going with this company I truly haven't. Please don't skip on the sewer inspection. You would be amazed on what they find. This was for a commercial property if you were wondering. The next property I acquire they are on my speed dial. Back in September, Bill from Chicago Building Inspections did our home inspection prior to closing. First of all, Bill was friendly and engaging, which always wins points with me. Secondly, he took his time and did not rush the inspection, and answered our questions along the way. The report that he wrote, and the format that Chicago Building Inspections uses, is incredibly detailed, well-organized, and includes pictures. Thus it almost reads like a manual for a home, which is incredibly helpful. I intentionally waited to write a review, to give myself time to live my new home and see if things were missed. But I'm pleased to say that Bill was very thorough, noticing things I never would have. This has not been my experience with past building inspections. Though I hope to remain in my home forever, I would use CBI again if needed.

Bill from Domicile Consulting conducted a home inspection for us on a condo we are in the process of purchasing. Bill called the morning of the inspection and let us know that he was stuck in traffic and would be a little late. We appreciated the forewarning - we know how unpredictable Chicago traffic can be! When Bill arrived, he was very professional and friendly, apologizing profusely for being late, and said he was giving us a discount on the inspection to make up for the inconvenience - he certainly didn't need to do that! Bill right away jumped in to his "inspection process", patiently explaining what he was looking at when I'd ask questions. He finished in about an hour and a half, and then took the time to point out the larger issues he had found to us. Bill sent us his report 2 days later, and then was immediately available when we called him the next day with questions - he pulled up our report right on the spot, and talked us through his findings. His report was extremely detailed, and he not only emphasized the health and safety issues, but also included possible "upgrades" we could do on the home once we owned it to make it even better. We had a great experience with Bill, and we will certainly use his services again in the future and recommend Domicile Consulting to others. Thank you Bill!
